Studio 204 - Irman Arcibal
As a visual artist and poet, Irman Arcibal immerses himself in word, breath, and synchronicity. He seeks methods by which occurrences on this level of existence can be recorded in a manner that evokes both the macroscopic as well as the microscopic. His visual art primarily involves drawing and drawing-related processes, while his poetry runs the spectrum from rhythmic rambling and musical wordplay to carefully crafted chronicle of sensory experience.
A Bay Area native, Irman Arcibal received his MFA in Art Studio from UC Davis after previously earning a BS in Biological Sciences from Cal Poly SLO. He also studied art and poetry at Solano College. He currently teaches drawing, painting, ceramics, and mixed media sculpture at Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco.
